Motor Speedway & Monty Python

Last weekend we went back to the Texas Motor Speedway for another fun day of racing, But this time it was Indycar instead of the Nascar. IndyCar is open wheel. similar to a Formula 1 Car, while NASCAR are stock cars and are more like a conventional car.

The cars were going over 200mph round the track - and we had a great view from the suite!!

Before the theatre we ate at El Fenix, shown above! It's Dallas based Tex-Mex restaurant, since 1918.
Did you know that the Frozen margarita was invented in Dallas over 40 years ago? Well after living here I'm really not surprised by that fact, it's a very popular drink here, always nice to enjoy after a hard day at work!!

Last night I was given tickeys to the theatre to see the Musical - Spamalot, based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Wow!! It really was such a wonderful show, very funny, great music - a truly enjoyable evening.

I really like the venue, the theatre is located in Fair Park. Fair Park boasts the world's largest collection of Art Deco exhibit buildings, art and sculpture - built for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition

Other than that - it's been an amazing few weeks, the weather has been consistently over 95*F, lots of swimming and laying by the pool - giving me a good opportunity to work on my texas tan!!
